Terms of use
These terms apply when you browse Sjuby, create an account, post an ad or contact someone through it. By using Sjuby you agree to them.
1. What Sjuby is
Sjuby is a classifieds marketplace for the United Arab Emirates. We provide the place where sellers post ads and buyers find them. We are not a party to any sale, rental or job offer, we do not own or inspect the items, and we do not handle payment between buyers and sellers.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and hold a UAE mobile number, which we verify.
- One account per person or business, with accurate details. Businesses post from a business account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password and codes to yourself.
- You can close your account at any time from Account and security. It can be restored by signing in within 30 days; after that your personal details are removed.
3. Posting ads
- Post only what you have the right to sell, rent or offer, in the right market and category.
- Describe the item honestly, with your own photos. One ad per item.
- Prohibited: anything illegal in the UAE, counterfeit goods, weapons, medicines, animals other than as permitted, adult content, and ads whose purpose is to advertise another website or collect personal data.
- Every ad is reviewed before it goes live and may be removed at any time. Repeated or serious breaches earn a strike; three strikes suspend the account. You can appeal a decision from My ads.
4. Packages, fees and refunds
- Posting is free while Sjuby is new: no package is charged for. Where anything is paid — a boost, for example — the price is shown in AED and includes VAT, and you see the exact amount before you confirm.
- A card on file is required to post. Sjuby authorises AED 2 on it to check the card is real and releases the authorisation immediately; the amount is never taken. Your bank may show it as pending for a day or two.
- You can cancel a scheduled charge or downgrade before it is taken. Charges already taken are not refunded when an ad is removed for breaking these terms.
- Boosts and premium placement are one-off purchases and are not refundable once applied.
5. Messaging
Messages must stay about the ad. No spam, harassment, discrimination or attempts to move the deal to another platform to avoid these terms. We may read reported conversations to keep people safe.
6. Our responsibility
We work to keep Sjuby accurate and available but cannot guarantee that every ad is genuine or that the service is never interrupted. To the extent the law allows, Sjuby is not liable for losses arising from a transaction between users. Read our safety guidance before you meet or pay.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above tells you when. Material changes are announced in your notifications. Questions go to support.
