I went grocery shopping today. It’s not something I enjoy doing. In fact, I usually put it off for as long as possible. I like having a well-stocked pantry; I just don’t like having to go through the motions to make that happen.
A friend of mine has talked for forever about Trader Joe’s and about how he wished they would come to Houston. Having never been, I didn’t see what the big deal was.
Until they came to Houston.
The first time I went, I found everything I needed. In fact, Trader Joe’s stocked all the foods I regularly buy, anyway, their prices were amazingly reasonable, and I didn’t have to walk for miles to find everything. I felt like I had died and gone to grocery shopping heaven.
And coming from me, that’s saying something.
There are soon-to-be three Trader Joe’s locations in Houston: One at 2922 S. Shepherd Dr. just south of Westheimer in the former Alabama Theater, a second one in the Memorial area at 1440 South Voss, and a third one coming soon to Cinco Ranch at 2717 Commercial Center Blvd. in Katy, Texas.
